Welcoming all Juniors and Parents to the new tennis season at Farm Walk! Farm Walk offers a wide range of tennis and social activities to junior members in 2011-12, whether it’s weekday or weekend group lessons, private lessons, team training, matches, tournaments, holiday tennis camps, BBQ’s, movie nights & free clubplay sessions. Junior & Parent Membership Junior members will receive early notification, priority booking and discounted prices on all tennis courses and camps throughout the year. There are 4 categories of junior membership – Under 7’s (£55), Ages 7-12 (£65), Ages 13-18 (£75) and Juniors With Adult Status (£85 - by invitation only). Parents can also take up the offer of a special parent membership for just £60 (more than £200 cheaper than full adult membership), entitling them to play with their child (junior member) at any time. Bring a Friend! Junior members can purchase guest passes for their friends (at £2 each), with guests allowed up to 3 times in one year (or persuade them to join!). Your friends can also take advantage of our special Junior Summer Guest Membership for just £20 (valid throughout July & August). Summer Term Courses (27th April – 16th July) A variety of courses on offer for juniors aged 5-18 on Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays (full details to be released late March) with FREE Junior Clubplay (supervised by Head Coach Theo Hyman) for members, 3-5pm on selected Sundays in May, June, July, September & October. Represent Farm Walk in the Aegon Team Tennis League This summer the club is entering the following teams into the Aegon League… Boys 14 & Under (A & B teams), Girls 14 & Under , Mixed 10 & Under. Some of our older juniors will also be representing the club in the Men’s Aegon Team! Annual Club Tournament The Junior Club Tournament starts on 29th May with Singles and Doubles Events for all age groups. This year the Junior Finals Day will take place at the same time as the Adult Finals on Sunday, 10th July. All boys aged 14 & Under can also take part in the Road to Wimbledon singles tournament in May, the winner of which has a chance to play at Wimbledon! Tennis Camps Easter Camps will take place from 11th – 21st April. Summer Camps will take place from 11th July – 26th August. Half-Term Camps will take place from 31st May – 3rd June & 24th – 28th October. The Junior Christmas Tournament & Party takes place on Sunday, 18th December. Regular Communication Check your emails regularly for news of special events, outings, themed tournaments, BBQ’s and movie nights for all our junior members, family and friends. Wishing you all a great year ahead and please make sure you make the most of your membership to Farm Walk Tennis Club by playing as often as possible, whether it’s after school, at weekends or in the holidays (and not just during the Wimbledon season!).
